Microsoft has been testing Teams chat integration for Outlook recently, and it will be available in the product by March 2023.

“This feature provides an easy Teams chat experience in the context of a meeting for participants to send quick messages or review it,” reads an item on Microsoft’s roadmap for its productivity and cloud services.

The Microsoft chat integration makes it easy for organizers and participants to discuss meeting plans in real time, without the need for back-and-forth emails.

In addition to appearing in your email and search inboxes, teams messages will also appear in Outlook on the web.

Microsoft, the company behind Microsoft Teams, is also planning to add search results for teams in Outlook on the web. This feature will be rolled out in February alongside AI-based file suggestions and expanded profile cards for Teams.

Microsoft Teams has integrated with Microsoft Outlook, adding features such as a scheduled send, enhanced search results, and an unread toggle for messages.

Microsoft continues to innovate and improve Teams in order to stay competitive. The company recently offered concessions to the European Commission in order to try and fend off an official EU antitrust investigation concerning their bundling of Teams with office.
