Microsoft has announced that it will provide free tech support for Ukraine through 2023, as Russia’s invasion drags on.

$400 million is the amount Microsoft has contributed to Ukraine in total. The company said it would provide additional technology aid of nearly $100 million, bringing its total support for Ukraine to more than $400 million since the crisis began in February.

Microsoft’s support means that organizations in Ukraine will be able to run digital operations without interruption and will be able to serve their citizens through the Microsoft Cloud. This is important, as many institutions rely on digital files to function, including government agencies, critical infrastructure and other sectors. President Brad Smith wrote a blog post about this.
