Microsoft unveiled a number of updates at the annual Microsoft Ignite conference, which included new features for Microsoft Word, Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Loop.

Microsoft Revealed a slew of new software and services in the recent IDC-hosted event, including Microsoft Syntex, which promises to use AI technology to index large data and content. Here’s what you’ll be able to expect in the coming years with these cool new services.

For all Microsoft Word users, the Grammarly competitor announced three new features yesterday. The company says they are intelligent capabilities that will make Microsoft Editor better than ever. It is unclear when these updates will become available, but Microsoft is currently in preview mode for them.

One feature you’ll find in Microsoft’s Grammarly is tone suggestions. It helps you make decisions about the way your message is typed out in a chat or document, and will also help with long text documents with its summarization feature. Additional features include conciseness, which will help you edit sentences so they’re more to the point.

Microsoft has some new changes to Planner. The first one is the ability for Planner to connect with Project as well as Viva Goals. This enables a Goals in Project feature which can track a team’s progress. Other than that, those who use Planner will be able to see Microsoft Project tasks in the Assigned to me list within Planner, Teams, and To Do apps.

We’re excited to announce the release of the latest Microsoft Project update. Here are a few things that you should know about this update: First, there will be a new ability called “Sprints” – which can help you plan your backlogged tasks. Additionally, a “People” view has been added to allow managers to see how work is set up in teams. Next, Task history now gives a clearer view of tasks. Finally, advanced dependencies have been added that allow for better management of tasks by using start-finish, start-start, finish-finish and lead and lag connections.
