It is expected that Microsoft will remove Windows 10 Home and Pro downloads later this month. More than two years before Microsoft stops officially supporting Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025, the downloads include license keys for Windows 10 (necessary to activate and use the download).

It is unclear how Microsoft will treat similar downloads and license keys available from retailers such as Amazon after the January 31st cutoff date, but the Windows 10 product pages have been updated recently to note the January 31st cutoff date. Despite our request for Microsoft to comment on Windows 10 license keys and downloads from third-party retailers, the company only confirmed its own plans to stop selling Windows 10.

Keeping customers informed about the latest purchasing options for Windows 10 was the goal of an update to the Windows 10 product page, according to Amy Bartlow, Windows marketing director. Microsoft recommends Windows 11 instead, and points out that Windows 10 will continue to be supported until October 2025, so customers have until January 31, 2023 to purchase Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro from this site.
