In 2023, Microsoft’s (MSFT.O) chief executive Satya Nadella is on track to add Netflix (NFLX.O) to his list of acquisitions.
Nadella has embarked on a costly shopping spree since he was promoted to Microsoft corner office in 2014. The company behind Minecraft was acquired for $2.5 billion by Microsoft in 2014. In addition to LinkedIn, Microsoft also bought Nuance, a speech recognition and artificial intelligence developer, for $20 billion. Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O) accounted for the largest disclosed target, at $69 billion.
