For commercial customers, Microsoft’s AI-enhanced Teams Premium subscription is now available in preview.

In October, Microsoft announced the Teams Premium add-on for $10 per user per month. Now the company is ready to test some of the additional features with commercial clients.

Participants and organizers of 1-on-1s, virtual meetings, town halls, and webinars will benefit from Teams Premium’s features.

In Team’s Premium, you can brand meetings, organization backgrounds, and organization together scenes. The AI features include live translation of captions and recap features, such as autogenerated chapters. AI-suggested action items and insights to catch up on missed meetings are also available.

In terms of security, Premium offers end-to-end encryption, watermarks, and sensitivity labels, along with options to prevent copy-paste chats and control who can record meetings.

Team Premium offers a registration waitlist, manual approval, and a pre-event virtual green room for presenters to ensure attendees only see shared content and participants.

Teams Premium offers end-to-end virtual appointments with text reminders, custom-branded virtual appointments, and an appointment dashboard with schedules, queues, and analytics to monitor no-shows and wait times.

You can sign up for the Teams Premium preview here.

As of February 2023, customers who already own Microsoft 365 or Office 365 licenses can add Teams Premium as an add-on to their existing Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Microsoft notes intelligent recap features will be available in the first half of the year.

There is a lengthy blog post from Microsoft explaining how the Premium features work for participants, meeting hosts, and Teams administrators.
