Reuters reports that Microsoft has offered to remediate the status quo by mandating that they sell Teams separately and separately from their other products.
There is a lot of discussion about the potential investigation from the European Commission and what it might entail. How this investigation ultimately turns out will be up to them, but regardless, there’s a lot of chatter going on surrounding it.
A new premium version of Teams is being released later this year that will feature AI transcription in 40 different languages, added security features, and more advanced capabilities. For now at least, the standard version of Teams will remain available for those working with the general 365 package.
