For most people, cloud storage is now pretty much essential. There are a lot of platforms you can choose from, but Google Drive and Microsoft’s OneDrive are among the most popular. For users of Microsoft’s OneDrive, there is some bad news– and we’re not talking about unwanted ads for OneDrive in the Windows 11 Start menu.
Microsoft is consolidating cloud storage with OneDrive, Outlook.com and Skype as of next year, but this means you’ll have less space for your personal files as email attachments get larger or use more storage.
No gamer wants to update their operating system because it’s supposedly bad news. In fact, the 2022 Update was introduced in a largely untested beta version and is expected to be completely discontinued.

The subscription price increase is coming in February, so those affected have a long time to look into alternatives and considering upgrading their cloud storage package.

Starting February 1, 2023, Microsoft 365 apps and services will include attachments data and OneDrive. All data will continue to be protected by Microsoft’s comprehensive set of security features.
This update will not affect your Outlook.com mailbox storage amount. However, if you reach your OneDrive quota, you’ll be unable to send or receive email in Outlook.com until it’s restored.
