Outlook emails will soon come into conflict with Microsoft 365 cloud storage limits.

Microsoft announced several changes that will remove features or affect the functionality of Outlook or OneDrive.
Microsoft 365 subscribers will no longer be able to have personalized email addresses attached to their Outlook.com inboxes.
OneDrive will soon count attachments you receive in Outlook against your OneDrive data limit. This limits the space available for other files, so you might have to delete large email attachments.
In order to help people transition to Outlook, Microsoft has added at least 50 GB of extra storage capacity.
Microsoft announced significant changes to Outlook and OneDrive that will cut down on functionality. Starting on November 30, 2023, Outlook.com subscribers will no longer be able to associate a new personalized email address with an Outlook.com mailbox. On February 2, 2023, Outlook.com attachments will start counting against a person’s OneDrive data quota. Microsoft sent out details about the changes this morning.
Email addresses based on your name are often more personalized with a more common format. For example, [email protected]. These addresses have the option of creating separate inboxes for the emails sent to the address will be sent to different sides of the same account. Generally, this is beneficial because it allows people to change the suffix to represent a community group or other name, such as @newsletter.
Don’t worry! If you’re still using a personalized email address, it will continue to work after November 30, 2023. The change only affects the ability to associate new personalized email addresses. As long as you maintain the right credentials in your identity provider, then you can add and remove emails easily.

As of February 2, 2023, Outlook.com attachments will count against OneDrive storage limits. While this change doesn’t apply to all Microsoft 365 subscribers, it will affect some people who currently use Outlook.com for email. If you’re among those users, we recommend deleting old emails in Outlook.com before the update takes effect on February 2, 2023.
