Low-Code/No-Code Summit on demand sessions is a great starting point for how to successfully innovate and achieve efficiency by upskilling and scaling citizen developers. Watch now.
With advancements in technology, AI has moved out of the theoretical phase and is being applied to everyday problems. The most popular use cases with AI in 2018 have been popular generative models. These include Stable Diffusion, DALL-E and many more.
The use of transformers in generative AI, like any other use case, has a heavy toll on the inference side. The same is true for other tasks like sentiment analysis and natural language processing.

The company d-Matrix is trying to help accelerate AI models with its new hardware technology that isn’t publicly available yet has raised $44 million in a Series A round of investments. After innovating in the field of software development, Microsoft has partnered with d-Matrix as one of its thought leaders in AI and data science.
Today Microsoft announced that the Project Bonsai reinforcement learning would be supported on their new d-Matrix DIMC technology. This allows for much faster AI inference, which is faster and more efficient than with current technologies.

The intelligent, prestigious and exciting security summit.
As technology continues to advance, breaking into the world of cybersecurity can seem impossible. It’s why companies need AI & ML solutions in order to keep up. On December 8, you can learn more by registering for a free pass.
Welcome! We look forward to working with you.
Microsoft is developing a machine Learning platform called “Project Bonsai” to enable deep reinforcement learning. It’s an open source project that allows developers and researchers to create new models, train them in Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, and share with the world.
Microsoft is taking on the challenge of artificial intelligence and has created Project Bonsai.
Project Bonsai was recently developed at Microsoft and is currently available as a preview.
The goal of the Project Bonsai effort is to operate on the fundamental, low-level aspects of AI that are hard to automate, in order to make them easier to train with deep reinforcement learning networks. It will develop technologies for industrial control, including chip design and manufacturing. One part of that technology is a capability to train models using Inkling, a high-level language developed at Microsoft.
Deep reinforcement learning doesn’t require labeled data, Maitra explained. Rather, it learns with feedback from the environment and mimics that in a simulation. At the end of a training loop, it produces an RL agent which Microsoft refers to as “brains.” Brains can take meaningful actions to complete the task at hand.

We’re running active real-life workloads and training the compiler as part of that process. Most of them with well-known large language models with different Bonsai brains.
Corsair has released a successor to the D-Matrix keyboard, the d-Matrix Corsair.
When the chips are ready _ d-Matrix has set aside a $125 million chip called Corsair for those who want to take advantage of early access.
D-Matrix is building a new and amazing compute platform for the AI community. They are specifically focused on the generative and artistic use of AI technology.
D-Matrix, a founding partner of DFWDevCon, is developing intelligent chip chips that can be built in a very modular way. You could have it integrated onto the CPU or a PCI card that plugs into your cloud server to help accelerate AI inference. One of its technology innovations is DIMC (Deep Intelligence Microarchitecture) which provides superior speed and performance in conjunction with low latency.
Microsoft’s Project Bonsai has created a compiler that can build deep reinforcement learning tools for its silicon. A key goal of Project Bonsai is to help support the continued growth and deployment of generative AI models, which will have a major impact on d-Matrix’s business and product plans.
After all, bringing AI capabilities to their customer seemed the only way forward. “We want to enable these generative models because they take a lot of hardware-based resources (i.e., processing power and memory) and there are integration constraints as well,” Bhoja said. “You basically have to do them in a very energy-efficient way so that you’re not using more power than your data centers can handle.”
