Sony’s List Of ‘Demands’ For Microsoft Owning ‘Call Of Duty’ Is Ridiculous

Microsoft is currently in the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard. Sony is fighting Microsoft’s attempt to acquire this company at every inch. This week, it seems that they have possibly swayed UK regulators to their side.

The UK’s CMA regulatory body released a lengthy document that included some eye-popping passages if you read through the entire report.

One thing that caught my eye was Sony’s cautionary tale about the “dangers” of Microsoft controlling Call of Duty for consumers, which reads like a list of demands. They don’t include anything in their article that should be expected if Microsoft takes possession of the franchise, except:

The Xbox version Call of Duty would be able to receive extra content from the Microsoft team.

Microsoft has some type of power they could use to improve the performance of the Xbox version of Call of Duty.

Microsoft is a company that was built on providing value to their customers. They could offer a range of attractive incentives about Call of Duty through Xbox Game Pass, such as bonus features or even modes. It’s possible they’re offering the game itself through Game Pass, as a way to build up anticipation ahead of release.

Microsoft and Sony have both said some very disingenuous, hypocritical things during this whole process. But Sony has been topping themselves, and even many avid PlayStation fans/buyers aren’t really able to support this one. Why? Because Sony is currently doing a ton of the stuff they’re accusing Xbox of conspiring to do. And they’re doing with Call of Duty! Right now!
