Microsoft has unveiled plans for a new feature in Outlook that’ll blur the boundaries between traditional emails and more modern chat services.
Microsoft has just announced a new Microsoft Outlook feature. With Windows machines, users will be able to give “thumbs up, laugh, heart, celebrate, or shed a tear in reaction to emails” thanks to the A post on the company’s roadmap revealed that this is one of its upcoming releases.
The email client hopes this will allow you to “apply your sentiment and see the reaction of others in emails in Outlook without sending or receiving incremental emails.” With our product, you can track that on your dashboard, to ensure that you’re not missing any important emails.

When someone responds to your message and taps to correspond, Outlook automatically opens the response in a message thread.
According to the post, Microsoft is about to launch new “tapback” implementation for Outlook this month. Microsoft is still in the development and testing stages of this new update, but we think it will be worth being excited about.
