Teams Rooms Pro is an innovative solution that will deliver meaningful hybrid meeting experiences with a focus on inclusivity, ease of use, flexibility, security and management. Here are some features that have been released or will be soon be available with Teams Rooms Pro.
Microsoft Teams helps everyone be seen and heard, with top-quality audio and video from Microsoft Teams-certified devices. With the video layout options of front row mode, noise suppression, and bandwidth optimization, it feels like remote attendees are in the room with automatic framing to capture the active speaker. Our advanced cameras bring our AI features to life, allowing remote participants to feel like they are in the meeting.
Meetings are more engaging, because participants can stay connected remotely. Features from the personal Teams meeting experience also work in Teams Rooms Pro, like seamlessly sharing content, passive reactions in chat, and raise-hand notifications. When using the classic video grid layout, chat bubbles alert in-room participants to the conversation happening alongside the meeting, so nothing gets missed.
Powerful collaboration: Real-time collaboration can be a part of every meeting for all attendees through Microsoft Whiteboard, Microsoft Surface Hub 2S, and the intelligent capture of an analog whiteboard. Easily add a touch display to enable multi-user, shared whiteboarding; or add a content camera to share augmented views into Teams meetings.
Great meetings start behind the scenes. That means strong security and management. Teams Rooms Pro provides essential enterprise-grade features, including access control and remote configuration. The package also includes the Teams Rooms managed service platform that automates updates, problem identification, and resolution with AI at scale.

Each team room managed service has been customized for each organization, providing them with what they need to succeed. Our learnings from the past several years have led us to this point today. Starting October 1st, 2022, incidents will automatically be remediated or routed to the customer’s IT department or designated management partner immediately, without our engineers needing to intervene first.
The Teams Rooms managed service platform will continue to provide all the product value Premium customers know and use today. That includes 24-hour monitoring, update ring configuration, video surveillance setup, inventory tracking, and more.
A lot has changed in the last few months, but one thing will stay the same – our commitment to your success. We’ll be focusing on growing and deepening the value of our managed service software platform by increasing our feature investments. Most troubleshooting or support requests will now go through a standard process across all Microsoft products.

Rooms Basic offers foundational Teams meeting features like scheduling and joining meetings, plus wirelessly sharing content. For customers who need more advanced management features and additional hybrid meeting abilities, we recommend Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro.
Teams Rooms Basic is included with the purchase of any certified Teams Rooms device at no additional cost, beginning on September 1, 2022. Customers who purchase one or more certified devices will be able to use up to 25 Basic licenses on their tenant.
